How to stroke your hair with your palm in front of a mirror

This is not styling. This is not care. This is not beauty. This is a gesture that had no purpose , but was full of meaning.

The woman walked up to the mirror. She tilted her head. She ran her hand through her hair, from the top to the ends. Slowly. Without a comb. Without a hair dryer. Just so the hair lay down.

Sometimes once. Sometimes for a long time. Sometimes silently, before going out. Sometimes anxiously, to collect myself. Sometimes to stop.

Why it remained:

- It was a gesture that was not interrupted by anything - It was a contact with oneself - It was a way to calm down without saying a word - It was a moment to be, breathe, smooth

And there was something very human about it. As if you were saying to yourself: “I am here. I am near. I am the silence.”

Today hair is styled. Covered. Treated. But who strokes it - just like that? Who listens to the rustle of their hair in silence?
