Paralia Katerinis without embellishment: quiet magic out of season.

Updated: Apr 1

My dears!

There are places in Greece that take off their bright "summer makeup" after September - and become their own . Paralia Katerinis is one of them.

What captivates me here in winter:

Mirror beaches , where the waves write patterns on the sand without umbrella “blots”.

Fishing boats wrapped in nets like scarves. Their owners drink coffee in the only open café on the embankment.

The smell of roasted chestnuts - it replaces the summer scent of sunscreen.

This Paralia is different. Here you can:

  • Sit on the pier with a book and no one will ask "is this seat free? "

  • Listen to the sea breathing (yes, it sounds different in winter!).

  • See the sun setting right into the water - without the crowds of photographers.

Want to breathe this air? I made a video for you - 5 minutes of an empty beach and the sound of waves without a single voice. Check out my YouTube - link in profile. This is the best anti-stress! 🎥

P.S. Do you like "unseasonal" time when traveling? Or maybe you have your own "winter" corner of Greece? Share in the comments - let's inspire each other!

With love from quiet Paralia, your Lilia.
