We woke up early. Not because it was trendy to get up at 5 am But because it was right: to keep things in order while the house was still breathing silence. The mirror was old. With a slight patina, in a wooden frame. But we still smoothed our hair in front of it. We wiped our faces with water. We pulled a white sheet over the bed - the one that was ironed in the evening.
It was not a ritual. It was respect for the beginning of the day. A clean face. A clean pillow. A hand that carefully folds a towel. A mirror that no one looks at with the question: "Am I beautiful?" But only to say: "I am." Little tips that no one wrote down:
— Wash your face immediately after waking up — with water in which mint has been infused— Wipe the mirror with a cloth with a drop of vinegar— Sheet — always white, always ironed— Hair smoothed with a damp palm— Clean nails — a must, even if your hands are tired This is not grooming. This is being present in yourself. Without makeup, without an image. Simply - a woman and morning. White sheet. And a mirror. And light.
